Industrial complex

          The volume of realization by Ivano-Frankivsk’s industrial enterprises in 2010 was 2954.3 million UAH, in comparing to the previous year this index grew by 417 million UAH. City’s enterprises made a big contribution to the overall region volume of realization of machine building production (75.5%), manufacturing of food products (75.5%), metal works production (32%).
          There are 12.3 thousand UAH of realization of industrial outputs per capita in Ivano-Frankivsk (9,5 thousand UAH in region), that is a fourth place between towns and districts of our region after Halych, Nadvirna districts and town of Kalush.
          Here are some companies that reached of growth in the volume of production and realization in comparison with previous year: PA SE “Karpaty”, “Tyco Electronics Ukraine Limited” Ltd., “Mikrol” Ltd., PJSC” Bread-Baking Plant”, OJSC “Flavor Factory”, “Imperovo Foods” Ltd., Enterprise “UTOG”, JSC “Halychyna”, PJSC “Timber Complex”, “Kuvert-Ukraine” Ltd., BE “Speczalizobeton” JSC “Ivano-Frankivskcement”.
           In general, in industrial complex of Ivano-Frankivsk are predominate of tendencies to extension of manufacturing of food and electronic-cable production, equipment and new kinds of products for energy-saving technologies or oriented for using of alternative fuels.
            27 industrial enterprises were engaged in the innovative activities in 2010. Some of them are: PA SE “Karpaty”, PJSC” Bread-Baking Plant”, OJSC “Pressmash”, OJSC “Inductor” etc..
           The extension of production and creating of new work positions are planed on: PA SE “Karpaty” (over 150 new work positions), “Tyco Electronics Ukraine Limited” Ltd. (over 100 work positions), “Electrolux Ukraine” Ltd., OJSC “Inductor”, OJSC “Pressmash”, “Intelcom” Ltd. and others.
            For promotion of products of local enterprises in 2010 was organized a propaganda action “Buy Ivano-Frankivsk’s – Give a Job for Ivano-Frankivsk Citizens”, “1000 Towns – 1000 Lives” (within the frameworks of festival “Healthy Food – Healthy Nation”). Except that, for assistance to local companies in realization of own production the Easter Fair, New Year Fair and fair “Foll-2010” were carry outed.

Direct foreign investments

           In 2010 it was received 20.4 million USD of foreign investments in cash and assets contribution.
           Total volume of direct foreign investmentі constitutes 133.7 million USD as of 01.01.11 (20.9 % of total region volume). Consolidated capital of non-residents, including loan capital, is 184.4 million USD. There are 477.6 USD of foreign investments per capita in Ivano-Frankivsk (393.9 USD in region). During last 4 years the economy of the city received 96.2 million USD of foreign investments.
           Companies from 41 countries where the investors to the city’s economy, the manes are from Poland (52 million USD, or 45.0% of total volume of investments), Italy (15.8 million USD, 13.9%), Virginia Islands (12.1 million USD, 10.6%), Great Britain (4.6 million USD, 4%). 87% of total direct foreign investments come from these countries.
            Foreign capital is allocated in 214 enterprises of the city. Particularly considerable capital is concentrated at industrial enterprises – 25.6 million USD (22.5% of total volume of investments).

Foreign Economic Activity

           From year to year the industrial enterprises of Ivano-Frankivsk feel themselves more confidently on a global market. In 2010 the total volume of export of goods has increased to 17.3% comparing to 2009. And if only four years ago the structure of city’s export for almost 90% consisted from raw-materials and semi-finished products, then in 2010 48% of exported production was goods and food-products.
           Import of goods to Ivano-Frankivsk during 2010 in comparing to 2009 increased for 2.8 times and amounted to 242.4 million USD. The biggest part in import formed by power materials, oil and products of its distillation – 53.6%, polymeric materials and plastic – 11.8%, mechanical equipment, machines and mechanisms, electric equipment and its parts – 10.9%.
